My journey in outreach began in 2009, when Nelson Vargas and I co-founded an astronomy group, Astro-K, at Konrad Lorenz University with the goal of sparking curiosity and excitement about the Universe among the general public in Colombia. Since then, Astro-K has organized festivals, public talks, radio programs, and courses, reaching audiences of all ages. In the summer of 2012, I joined the European Union Universe Awareness (EU-UNAWE) programme at Leiden University’s Department of Astronomy, where, under the guidance of Pedro Russo, I researched open educational repositories, public outreach strategies, and methods for evaluating astronomy development projects. Since then, I have continued this mission through podcasting, public lectures, and hosting webinars, sharing science with broad audiences.

The Faculty Journey Podcast

Host (Since 2025)

I host a podcast that explores the lives and journeys of faculty, primarily in astrophysics and related fields (I admit there is an inherent bias!). Inspired by The Postdoc Path Podcast (see below), which I co-founded at Princeton, this series focuses on the personal stories of scientists: how they began their careers, the twists and turns in their academic journeys, and what it means to be part of our scientific community. Each informal conversation lasts between 30 to 45 minutes and provides an opportunity to uncover the human side of research, from early inspirations to career-defining moments, all in a relaxed and authentic setting.

Latin American Webinars on Physics (LAWPhysics)

Coordinator (Since 2018)

A cycle of webinars to connect physicists working on particle and high-energy physics, astroparticles, and astrophysics.

You can read here what Symmetry Magazine wrote about this initiative.

The Postdoc Path Podcast

co-Founder and co-host (2022 – 2024)

In this podcast we interview some of the postdoctoral researchers at the physics department at Princeton University. Each episode features a postdoc as a scientist, coworker, member of our community, and of course, as a person that we want to get to know a little bit more. You can hear about this podcast and my own academic path in this episode.

Astrobites in Spanish (Astrobitos)

Former Author (2019 – 2020)

Astrobitos is a periodical astrophysical literature journal written in Spanish by graduate students. Our goal is to present interesting papers in a brief format that is accessible to undergraduate students in the physical sciences who are interested in active research. You can read my astrobitos here.
